How does the Sri Kalikavu Temple protect those affected by Black Magic?

The main deities of the Kalikavu temple are Bhadrakali, Vishnumaya, Vadakkan Chovva, Muthappan, and Kala Bhairavan.

The idol of Bhadrakali at Sree Kalikavu is an 800-year-old stone. This stone was worshipped in ancient times in the Adi Dravidian system.

Bhadrakali was worshipped in ancient times in a system of worship that is not familiar to us today.  
In ancient times, the priests of Kerala worshipped Goddess Bhadrakali mainly with very powerful mala mantras. These priests also performed animal sacrifices to satisfy Goddess Kali. Therefore, the ancient practice of worshipping Goddess Kali was very powerful.

In those days, Goddess Kali was enshrined in the groves that were full of trees. In ancient times, the goddess was not enshrined in the carved idols that we see today. Goddess Kali was enshrined on a plain black stone floor.

Many devotees would visit such shrines on the full moon day and participate in special pujas. Thus, Goddess Bhadrakali who can remove all evil reigned in the forests of Kerala. 

In ancient times, the people of Kerala worshipped Goddess Bhadrakali to get rid of evil spirits, witchcrafts, bring financial prosperity, protect the family, and cure illnesses.

Today’s legend of Lord Kalika: The elders of the Kizhakkoot Tharavattu family found a large stone from their home place in 2012.

It was a special type of stone that had been buried in the ground long ago. This stone is obtained when a pit is dug for agricultural purposes. Elders who lack the ability to recognize the importance of the stone break the stone with special properties. The act of not realizing that the stone is the goddess Kali caused a lot of problems in that family.

Financial difficulties were arising, the eldest were becoming ill, the marriage of men in the family was not happening, and those who get married were not having children. 

Abhilash, the eldest son of this family recognized the importance of the stone. He spoke to various priests and great personalities to learn the importance of the stone.

By God’s grace, he got the opportunity to learn the original Dravidian rituals during this period. He who worshipped his family gods like Muthappan and Kuttichaathan made a strong decision.

He decided to please his family gods. Satisfied with the 91-day long worship, Muthappan advises to place that stone in the Kavu. It was later discovered that the name Sree Kalikavu which was given accidentally had become the Kavu’s real name.

The first deities enshrined in Sree Kalikavu were Muthappan, Vishnumaya Kuttichathan, and Sree Bhadrakali. After that, the stone with special properties was placed with them. Even after lighting a lamp, it was not possible to find out which god the stone belonged to.

Within the first month of worshipping the stone, great miracles began to occur in Kav. The wife of a priest named Abhilash, who had been childless for 5 years after their marriage, became pregnant.

The five-wick lamp kept lit in front of the stone began to flicker frequently. The changes in nature at Sree Kalikavu during special pujas also left everyone surprised. In the third month, another miracle occurred in Kav. The wife of the priest’s assistant, who had no children, also became pregnant. Devotees who came to pray at Kavu quickly received relief from their financial problems, work-related obstacles, and enemy attacks.

 Finally, the auspicious day arrived, the day when the special stone in the cave was discovered to be the deity. The saint who came to the cave 4 months after the beginning of the cave, recognized the presence of Bhairava and the original Dravidian Kali.

More monks, priests, and other dignitaries were brought to the cave for further examination. Thus, it was identified as the original Dravidian Kali, who had fallen asleep in the earth centuries ago. I realized that the Adi Dravidian priests were worshipping that stone, and that they were worshipping it with mala mantras.

I realized that the legend Kali, who had gained strength through the Pancha Makara pujas, was present in that stone. Based on this realization, special Kali pujas are still performed at Kalikavu on the path of Kali.

Sree Kalikavu is a temple where special Kali pujas, Kuttichathan pujas, and Muthappan pujas are performed every day.

Although it is a small temple in appearance, the idol of Kali here is 800 years old. Bhadrakali in the Sree Kalikavu is the one who removes all kinds of evils of the devotees. This small temple also has the special feature that any evil caused by witchcraft is eliminated within this kavu.

Guruthi Puja, a favorite of Goddess Kali, is held every Tuesday and Friday. All black magic -related evils are removed here with Goddess Kali by the addition of the
